Volvo Group Australia announces HVO 100 factory first fill at Wacol QLD facility
As VGA works toward meeting it’s 2030 emissions reductions target, the group has announced that, from December 2024, all Volvo and Mack trucks built at Volvo Group Australia’s Wacol QLD factory will be filled with Hydro Treated Vegetable Oil (HVO) instead of diesel fuel.
The European consumer test organization Euro NCAP has for the first time ever assessed the safety of heavy-duty trucks. Volvos’ best-selling models, the Volvo FH and the Volvo FM, both received the top rating of five stars. The Volvo FM also had the best overall test result among all tested trucks.

QFES Commissioner, Steve Smith AFSM, and Minister for Fire and Disaster Recovery and Minister for Corrective Services, Hon. Nikki Boyd MP, attended the delivery in Volvo’s Wacol factory, showing the combined commitment to a cleaner future for Queensland.
