Wodonga based Ron Finemore Transport has been operating in its current incarnation since 2004 and the company provides regional and inter-capital transport services across three divisions; Food, Produce & Manufactured Goods and Bulk Liquids. However, those with a long history in Australian road transport would know that the Finemore name stretches back decades further as a high profile transport operator.

Safety is a number one priority for RFT, which has aligned it perfectly with both the Volvo Trucks brand and the CMV Truck & Bus business over the years.

Miles Crawford, General Manager, CMV Truck & Bus says “the sentiment in the long-lasting relationship we have with Ron Finemore Transport is incredibly important to our business.” “The total offer, the relationship and the ownership experience is something that lives long after the truck hits the road.”

"Each of the 300 prime delivered to Ron Finemore Transport over the years has also supported numerous local suppliers within this area," says Brent Fuge, Sales Manager, CMV Albury/Wodonga. “They are a supporter of our local community with a presence on the national stage, and I’m extremely proud of our long standing partnership.”

For Ron Finemore Transport however, local manufacturing and engineering only adds to the Volvo value proposition. “The fact that these trucks are engineered and built here in Australia provides a level of agility and adaptability for our business,” says Mark Parry, Managing Director, RFT.

Safety, efficiency, reliability and driver satisfaction are all key priorities for the RFT fleet. This latest FH features Volvo Truck’s Fuel Face technology which consists of a number of efficiency focussed hardware and software features as well as I-See terrain reading cruise control.

“With our trucks hauling loads of food and fuel between centres such as Barnawartha, Wagga, ACT, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, we need safe, reliable and fuel-efficient vehicles," continues Parry.

“The extensive Volvo Group service network across Australia means vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum, allowing us to maintain the high level of service expected by our customers.”

“This prime mover represents a partnership based on trust, support and innovation, and we look forward to this continuing into the future.”
